Oldskool
'Oldskool' or 'Old School' - Anything that is from an earlier era and looked upon with high regard or respect. Can be used to refer to music, clothing, language, or anything really.
Well, something I looked upon to in the literal sense is my old school, where I did most of schooling. St. John the Baptist High School - one of biggest catholic school in Thane, Its been almost years that I haven't being there, but some of the memories always remain fresh in my mind.
The school anthem for instance which we use to sing every assembly day, with such joy. I can still remember the tune and the words which went something like :
"St. John the Baptist children we are
Proud of and grateful for its the motherly care
Under its guidance we grow as in age!
In virtue and service, in knowledge and play.
We pledge our honour, we shall ever strive
When in when out, when near when far,
With selfless service and exemplary life
To hold high the name of our ALMA MATER.
Joy in labour, pleasure in pain
That's our Motto, that's our claim,
Studies and hardwork are nothing but play,
Surely great future for us we lay."

The early morning schoolbus ride was just fun. The school ground(s) are also in my memories By ground(s), I meant we have about 4 grounds were we use to play. The teachers, well its too sad that many are no more but all of them are always remembered for the role they played in my upbringing. There are just too many memories of my school, some I regret some I'll cherish for years.
I believe most of us live and grow in different environments around us, but the school day memories are often similar and cherished for years. I love my 'oldskool'
